Welcome to Crack&Wish ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose your information, including personal data, in conjunction with your access to and use of the Crack&Wish mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products, or otherwise when you contact us. The personal information we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the App.

• Account Information: When you sign in using third-party services (Apple or Google), we collect your name, email address, and a unique identifier associated with that account.
• Profile Data: We collect the username (@handle), date of birth, time of birth, birth location, and profile photograph that you voluntarily provide to personalize your astrological and tarot experiences.
• User-Generated Content: We collect data you create within the App, such as fortune cookie history, dream entries, tarot reading histories, and Owl Letter communications.
• Device and Usage Data: We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the App. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, and information about how and when you use our App.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations.

• To facilitate account creation and logon process: We use third-party account credentials to securely authenticate you.
• To provide and manage the Services: We use your birth data to generate personalized astrological charts and tarot readings.
• To fulfill and manage orders: We may use your information to fulfill and manage your subscriptions and purchases made through the App via RevenueCat.
• To enable user-to-user communications: We may use your information in order to enable social features, such as sending Owl Letters to friends.
• To deliver targeted advertising: We may use your information to develop and display personalized content and advertising (and work with third parties such as Google AdMob who do so) tailored to your interests and/or location.
• For AI-based features: Your dream text entries are sent securely and anonymously to Google Gemini AI to generate interpretations. We do not use your personal identity in these transmissions.

3. How We Share Your Information

We only share information with the following third parties, and strictly for the purposes outlined below:

• Cloud Hosting and Database: Supabase (for secure cloud storage, authentication, and database management).
• AI and Machine Learning: Google Gemini AI (for processing text to generate dream interpretations).
• Advertising: Google AdMob (for serving advertisements).
• Payment Processing: Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and RevenueCat (for handling subscriptions and in-app purchases).

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. This includes HTTPS/TLS encryption for data transmission and Row Level Security (RLS) within our Supabase database to ensure that users can only access their own data. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When you delete your account, we will permanently delete or anonymize your personal information from our active databases.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., the European Economic Area, UK, California), you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

• The right to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information.
• The right to request rectification or erasure of your personal data.
• The right to restrict the processing of your personal information.
• The right to data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, you can delete your account and all associated data directly within the App via the "Delete Account" button in your Profile Settings, or contact us via email.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13 years of age. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13, or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the App. If we learn that personal information from users less than 13 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
